SOMOS LA IGLESIA
La Iglesia está compuesta por todos los fieles o el Pueblo de Dios. El clero quienes están ordenados tienen un rol distinto y su función también es distinta en la Iglesia; todos los bautizados somos parte del cuerpo místico de Cristo. Juntos todos con los ministros ordenados, los fieles laicos, somos llamados a vivir nuestro bautismo anunciando el mensaje evangélico y asistiendo a la gente que lo necesite.
La totalidad de los fieles, que tienen la unción del Santo (cf. 1 Jn 2,20 y 27), no puede equivocarse cuando cree, y esta prerrogativa peculiar suya la manifiesta mediante el sentido sobrenatural de la fe de todo el pueblo cuando «desde los Obispos hasta los ultimos fieles laicos» presta su consentimiento universal en las cosas de fe y costumbres. Con este sentido de la fe, que el Espíritu de verdad suscita y mantiene. (Constitución Dogmática Lumen Gentium #12)
WE ARE THE CHURCH
The Church is comprised of all believers or the People of God. Ordained clergy have a distinct role and function in the Church; all of the baptized are a part of the whole of the Body of Christ. Together with ordained ministers, the lay faithful are called to live out their baptism through spreading the gospel message and ministering to people in need.
The entire body of the faithful, anointed as they are by the Holy One, cannot err in matters of belief. They manifest this special property by means of the whole peoples' supernatural discernment in matters of faith when ‘from the Bishops down to the last of the lay faithful,’ they show universal agreement in matters of faith and morals. That discernment in matters of faith is aroused and sustained by the Spirit of truth. (Lumen Gentium #12)
